Arturia gives AstroLab 61 a limited silver finish
AstroLab 61 Silver puts a limited metallic finish on Arturia's stage-focused instrument, retaining the 61-note aftertouch keybed, broad software-instrument library, hands-on performance controls, and computer-free preset workflow.
Arturia has released AstroLab 61 Silver, a limited-edition version of its stage keyboard with a metallic finish intended to stand apart under stage lighting. The change is visual rather than a new generation of the instrument, so the core appeal remains the same: a performance-focused way to take a large collection of Arturia sounds onstage without keeping a computer at the center of the rig.
The 61-note semi-weighted keybed supports channel aftertouch, while the front panel combines preset navigation with macro controls, four assignable pedals, and performance-oriented effects. Arturia says the onboard library includes more than 1,800 presets from over 40 instruments, covering acoustic keyboards, analog-style synths, digital textures, and hybrid sounds.
AstroLab can operate by itself during a performance, but it is designed to stay connected to Arturia's software ecosystem. Musicians can prepare sounds and playlists in Analog Lab, move them to the keyboard, and use the AstroLab Connect app for browsing and management. That workflow is likely to matter more than the silver finish for players comparing it with a conventional workstation or stage piano.
The limited colorway makes the most sense for performers who already wanted AstroLab and prefer a more distinctive stage presence. It does not add sounds or controls over the standard black model, so availability and street price will determine how much of a premium the finish carries.
