AlphaTheta CDJ-1500X brings flagship workflow to tighter DJ booths
AlphaTheta's CDJ-1500X condenses key flagship-player ideas into a smaller standalone deck, pairing a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Wi-Fi library access, streaming support, NFC login, and a more portable footprint.
AlphaTheta has introduced the CDJ-1500X, a standalone DJ player aimed at booths and mobile systems where the footprint of a flagship deck can be difficult to accommodate. The format is smaller, but the core workflow remains recognizably club-oriented: separate-player flexibility, physical Hot Cue controls, a jog wheel, direct USB playback, and a large browsing display.
The 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen is the center of the experience. It can show up to 15 tracks in the browse list and adds visual markers for vocals, tempo changes, and song structure. DJs can also edit playlist order directly on the player instead of returning to a laptop or mobile device between changes.
Connectivity is where the CDJ-1500X moves beyond a simple compact deck. Built-in Wi-Fi supports rekordbox CloudDirectPlay along with compatible streaming services, while NFC login can load a performer's settings and library access from a phone running rekordbox. AlphaTheta is also introducing CoBeat compatibility for optional audience requests and voting during a set.
For working DJs, the practical question is whether those connected features and the smaller 9.9-inch-wide chassis justify choosing it over a larger flagship player. Sweetwater listed the CDJ-1500X in stock when MusicGearWatch checked availability on August 11, 2026.
